Description:

As a Road Race Support volunteer, you'll ensure the smooth operation and safety of our road race event.  Meet at race start location for additional training and location. Please arrive 15 minutes before your shift. 

 

Starting Line Support:

  • Parking Directions: Assist in directing participants and spectators to appropriate parking areas.
  • Organize Racers: Help organize racers into their respective race categories and line them up for the start.
  • Distribute Bibs: Hand out race bibs and packets to participants, ensuring they have all necessary materials.

Course Marshals:

  • Monitor the Course: Take your car, yellow vest, and flag to designated intersections or turnarounds to help guide racers.
  • Provide Directions: Assist racers with directions and ensure they stay on the correct course.

Aid Station Support:

  • Set Up Station: Prepare the aid station with drinks, snacks, and water.
  • Assist Cyclists: Provide refreshments, assist with filling water bottles, and direct them to the port-o-potty for a break.
