Front Office/Gallery Docent

Do you have clerical experience or want to get some under your belt? Are you ready to be a cheerful and upbeat ambassador connecting native plant novices to the resources they seek? If you answered 'yes,' to these questions, keep reading!

 

The Front Office/Gallery Docent will answer the general phone line and assist anyone who walks into the gallery.

 

This is an indoor task with seating provided at a desk. Plant knowledge is not needed, but a knowledge about TPF programs, nursery, and website are very useful. You will be trained, and staff members are available in the office to answer any questions you might have.

 

Responsibilities:

• Greet visitors who come into the gallery/front office
• Answer questions about purchasing artwork
• Direct visitors who need help finding the nursery, classroom, etc
• Answer TPF general inquiry phone line 

Equipment provided:

• Phone with a list of extensions to transfer callers to the right department
• Computer or iPad with internet to help callers find what they need on the TPF website or online store
• Walkie talkie to radio staff for short answers to simple questions
