Hi,
Outgoing and energetic volunteers needed to walk amongst a life size exhibit of Indian elephants displayed on The Breakers back lawn. 🐘🐘🐘🐘
THE EXHIBIT: The Great Elephant Migration (GEM) is an outdoor art exhibit of life size Indian elephant sculptures, migrating across the US over the course of a year, in collaboration with Art & Newport and various contemporary artists. It promotes human-wildlife coexistence as a solution to biodiversity loss. It will travel from RI to New York City, Miami, Montana and Los Angeles.
Duties: As a Mahout (person who tends elephants.) your main duty will be to ask guests to not climb or sit on the 26 elephants in exhibit and provide a small amount of general information regarding the exhibit.
Attire: Weather appropriate clothing, comfortable shoes for walking and standing, hat if needed. (Sunscreen for sunny days)
The exhibit will be in an open area with no shade.
An information sheet will be provided to help you in answering some FAQs.
