Volunteer at Drive-thru Food Pantry in Pomona (Agency Site)

Sowing Seeds For Life is a non-profit organization established in 2005 that serves people from more than sixteen cities across eastern Los Angeles and western San Bernardino Counties. 

 

Volunteer Duties:

SSFL is looking for volunteers to help distribute food to families and individuals facing food insecurity. Duties include lifting boxes and placing them inside cars, traffic control, and client intake.  

 

Requirements & Skills: 

• Must be 18 years or older to volunteer
• All volunteers must review and sign SSFL’s waiver. A copy will be sent to you when you register.
• Comfortable working outdoors. 
• Be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Be able to lift up to 20 lbs. 

Parking: available on-site

 

Dress Code:

• Due to safety concerns, all volunteers must wear close-toed shoes (no sandals or flip flops) 
• Casual and comfortable attire is recommended.
  
  • Ex: t-shirt and jeans
  • For safety reasons, please no shorts or tank tops

Supervision: 

• SSFL’s Volunteer Coordinator will work directly with all volunteers.
