Special Olympics Minnesota's Regional Metro Flag Football competition is being held on September 7-8 and we are looking for volunteers to help make the day happen! We hope to see you there!
No flag football experience? No problem! A detailed training is given at the beginning of each shift. You're welcome to sign up for any of the following roles:
- General Event Support:
- Check in and welcome athletes, teams, and volunteers.
- Volunteers will also fill in other spots or jump in to help where needed. They may have a shorter shift than scheduled.
- This is a great role for someone who is flexible and a self starter!
-
- Football Skills Assistant:
- Run and score one of our skills stations for athletes competing as an individual.
- Score Table:
- Update scores and manage time on video scoreboard.
- Confirm rosters before games with coaches on both teams.
- Down Marker:
- Move the down marker indicator as the ball is moved down the field.
- You will be on your feet for this position!
- Awards Assistants:
- Organize and prepare awards for athletes.
- Announce names and places of athletes during award ceremony.
