Description:
During fiscal year 2021, Harvesters’ agencies helped Harvesters distribute more than 76 million pounds of food, providing more than 67 million meals.
In partnership with the federal government, many of Harvesters’ agencies distribute monthly commodity food boxes to low-income seniors through the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP). The boxes contain shelf-stable items like milk, fruit juices, pasta, rice, peanut butter, and canned meats, fruits and vegetable.
Volunteers make it possible for pantries to distribute CSFP and produce to our senior neighbors. This is an inside and outside opportunity. Tasks include: Loading food into cars Lifting 5-20 pounds repetitively Assisting with cleanup
Please note the following requirements: Keep client information confidential Wear closed-toed shoes Age Requirement Must be 16 years or older Physical Requirements Lift 5-20 pounds repetitively Stand for the entire shift Bend repetitively Work outside in hot and cold weather Register each person who will be volunteering Complete this form to schedule groups of six. |
