Food Distribution at Arden-Arcade (St. Matthew's)

Food distribution at St Matthew's takes place indoors. Volunteers assist with food distribution to the public. Volunteers offer food items to guests through our choice distribution model, help guests transport their food items, and assist with the flow of foot traffic. Volunteers help with clean up and breakdown as well. Volunteers may be asked to help with food sorting and bagging, stocking, and cleaning. Some volunteer positions may be outdoors as well. 

 

The following is required by all volunteers:

• Closed-toe shoes
• Comfortable clothing for working 
• Ability to stand, lift, push and pull items (many volunteers positions are physical in nature and may include long periods of standing or moving)
• Masks are not required but available

Your volunteer service is critical to our ability to serve the community. We kindly ask that you show up to the shift(s) you register for or cancel as soon as possible so another volunteer can fill your spot. We truly depend on our volunteers!
