Food Access & Cooking Volunteer | 94th St Greenmarket (July)

Volunteer with GrowNYC’s Greenmarkets and help support local farmers by creating a welcoming environment and ensuring they have opportunities to sell fresh produce. In addition, this is a great way to do your part in helping all NYC residents have access to fresh and local produce! 

• Provide customer service, answer general questions about GrowNYC & Greenmarket
• Conduct customer counts 
• Help to maintain a safe flow of foot traffic, inform bikers to dismount and walk with bike
• Helping the market manager with cooking demonstrations, promotional activities, farmer support, and more.
• Hand out flyers
• Artsy? Help us design an A-frames graphic for the day!

• Health & Safety: If you are feeling sick, please stay home.  If you were recently sick, please do not volunteer until you are feeling better and have been fever free (without medication) for at least 24 hours.

Requirements:

Volunteers must be 18 years or older, have previously attended the GrowNYC Volunteer Orientation, and signed our waiver.
