Join TreeKeepers to promote Openlands at the Friends of Green Bay Trail Day! This is a wonderful opportunity for TreeKeepers to educate the public on proper tree care and encourage folks to sign up for the next TreeKeepers course!

 

Please DON'T FORGET to wear your TreeKeeper shirts and badges and bring your TK manuals, if you have them.

 

Friends of the Green Bay Trail is a local not for profit group which stewards the care of trees/plants along the trail. They have done extensive work in Glencoe removing buckthorn and planting native plants, and are now working in Winnetka. The Green Bay Trail is currently a rails with trails built on the former Chicago North Shore and Milwaukee Railroad. It runs parallel to the Metra North Line for nearly nine miles between from Wilmette, IL to Highland Park, IL.

Meeting Location: Park at the Hubbard Woods Train Station - 1065 Gage Street, Winnetka, IL 60093. Free street parking and municipal lot north of station. Walk down the stairs to the bike trail. The event booths will be lined up along the trail heading north.
