Opportunity Name:
Aquatic Invasives Blitz- Boater Survey- Patoka Reservoir

Description:

This volunteer opportunity is a great fit for individuals wanting to learn more about aquatic invasive species, contribute to data collection, and share information about aquatic invasive species with others.

For this opportunity you will work alongside a DNR biologist at a public access site or participating boat ramp to gather boater information and share educational resources focused on preventing the spread of invasive and non-native species.  You will be connected to a DNR contact upon registering who will assist you throughout your volunteerism.

Volunteer shifts, including conducting boater surveys and outreach, will be outdoors at the Painter's Creek public boat Launch site at Patoka Reservoir, July 5th from 12-4 p.m. and July 6th from 8-11:30 a.m. EST. Volunteers should wear comfortable, weather appropriate clothing and come prepared with a water bottle, snacks, and sun protection.

On behalf of DNR, and all Hoosiers, we thank you for your support and efforts to protect our public waters!
