Opportunity Name:
Aquatic Invasives Blitz- Boater Survey- Lake Wawasee

Description:

This volunteer opportunity is a great fit for individuals wanting to learn more about aquatic invasive species, contribute to data collection, and share information about aquatic invasive species with others.

For this opportunity you can work alongside a DNR biologist at public access sites and participating boat ramps gathering boater information and sharing educational resources focused on preventing the spread of invasive and non-native species.  You will be connected to a DNR contact upon registering who will assist you throughout your volunteerism.

Volunteer shift, conducting boater surveys and outreach, will be outdoors at the Lake Wawasee Public Access site off E. Hatchery Rd., June 29th from 9-12 noon EST. Volunteers should wear comfortable, weather appropriate clothing, and come prepared with a water bottle, snacks, and sun protection.

On behalf of DNR, and all Hoosiers, we thank you for your support and efforts to protect our public waters!
