Description:

WHAT: Health Promotion is a health screening where our athletes learn about a variety of health education topics like sun safety, hydration, smoking cessation and more. In addition, athletes' blood pressure and body composition will be calculated.  

 

WHO: Any health professional or student; especially those with a background in nursing, public health, and occupational therapy. 

 

No expertise in this field is required.

 

Volunteer Check in will be from 8:00-8:30am

 

Volunteers will receive: 

  • A FREE Special Olympics T-Shirt
  • A record of community service hours upon request.
  • Free lunch

Volunteer Requirements: 

  • Complete a Class B Volunteer Form
  • Bring a photo ID to the event
  • Volunteers under 15 MUST be accompanied by an adult

Athletic bottoms and sneakers are appropriate.

 

Please note that volunteers will be asked to stay the entire time, please plan accordingly.
