2024 Lexington Big Brown Truck Pull

 

The Lexington Truck Pull will take place on August 17th at Texas Roadhouse in Beaumont Centre. This a thrilling event to support the over 11,300 individuals with intellectual disabilities served by Special Olympics Kentucky's sport and health programs. 

 

Review the volunteer roles below and consider coming out to take part in this exciting event! 

 

Volunteer Roles: 

 

Event Set-Up - Assist with all set-up preparations for the event. This role requires heavy lifting in outdoor elements. 

 

General Volunteers - Assist with a variety of tasks throughout the event. 

 

Measurer - Assist with measuring each pull. 

 

Staging - Help ensure each team member has the materials they need and walk them into the pull zone to help them set-up for team photos before their turn to pull.

 

Timers - Assist with timing each pull.

 

Usher - Assist with directing participants back into the fun zone at the end of their Pull and ensuring that materials are distributed back to staging as needed. 

 

Event Tear-Down - Assist with the disassembly of the event. Requires heavy lifting in outdoor elements. 

 

Volunteers are asked to remain in their role for the entirety of the shift. If you would like to volunteer but, are not available for the entire time frame of your selected shift please contact our office.
