Opportunity Details | Residency Open Studio

The Crosstown Arts (CA) Residency Open Studio is a cherished event in Memphis, offering the public a unique opportunity to explore artists' studios and engage with the creators themselves. Following the studio visits, attendees are invited to enjoy a musical performance by Eve Essex and Dame Mufasa in the Greenroom.

Volunteer Responsibilities:
We're seeking volunteers to assist with guiding visitors through the Open Studio event. Volunteers will be stationed strategically to direct visitors to the studios and the final performance. Additionally, volunteers may provide event maps to those in need. Volunteers are expected to remain at their designated locations, with restroom breaks facilitated by the Residency Coordinator.

Itinerary:
- 5:20 pm: Volunteers meet with the Residency Coordinator in the Residency Office at CA. Belongings can be left in the office.

- 5:30 pm: Volunteers tour all studios with the Residency Coordinator to familiarize themselves with the layout. Volunteers can use this opportunity to experience the unique spaces of resident artists and engage directly with these outstanding artists.

- 5:50 pm: Volunteers assume their strategic positions to welcome and guide visitors.

- 7:20 pm: Volunteers assist artists in residence with closing their studios and direct visitors to the Greenroom for the final performance.

 

Volunteers are welcome to stay for the film projection and musical performances held in the green room after the open studios are finished, to experience works by resident artists A.C., Dame Mufasa, and Eve Essex.
