Description:
48 percent of Harvesters agencies reported having no full-time staff. They rely on volunteers like you to make sure that the community receives the food they need.
Drive-through food pantries provide nutritious food in areas where access to food assistance is limited. This program allows Harvesters to provide large quantities of fresh produce, and other nutritious food, where it is needed most.
Volunteers make it possible for pantries to distribute food. This is an outside opportunity. All volunteers must be able to lift 20 pounds repetitively.
Tasks include: Assisting with traffic flow Managing sign-in sheets Loading food into cars Assisting with cleanup
Please note the following requirements: Always wear a mask Keep client information confidential Age Requirements Must be 18 years or older Physical Requirements Able to lift 5-20 pounds repetitively Able to stand for the entire shift Able to bend Able to work outside
