Description:
48 percent of Harvesters agencies reported having no full-time staff. They rely on volunteers like you to make sure that the community receives the food they need.
Mobile food pantries provide nutritious food in areas where access to food assistance is limited. This program allows Harvesters to provide large quantities of fresh produce, and other nutritious food, where it is needed most.
Volunteers make it possible for pantries to distribute food. This is an outside opportunity. Tasks include: Assisting with traffic flow Managing sign-in sheets Loading food into cars Must be able to lift 5-20 pounds repetitively Assisting with cleanup
Please note the following requirements: Masks are not required; however, volunteers are welcome to wear one Keep client information confidential Age Requirements Must be 6 years or older 6-17 year olds must be accompanied by an adult Physical Requirements Able to lift 5-20 pounds repetitively Able to stand for the entire shift Able to bend Able to work outside
