Opportunity Name:
Mayor's Citywide Community CleanUP Day 2024 - Downtown Hub

Description:

Mayor Dyer's Beautify Fresno is hosting a major event on Saturday, August 3 as part of the Mayor’s Citywide Community CleanUP Day, a special event that invites individuals as well as non-profits, service clubs, schools, churches, businesses and individuals to serve the community by picking up litter from yards, parks, streets, alleys, riverfronts and other public areas.

The event will clean up the northern portion of downtown Fresno from San Joaquin Street to Tuolumne Street between H and M Streets. Volunteers are asked to meet at the Cultural Arts District Park no later than 7:45 a.m., to check in and for a brief orientation.

All volunteers are required to sign a Liability Waiver form prior to participating in this event. To speed up the check-in process, we encourage you to sign the release waiver electronically prior to the event by visiting https://appdev.fresno.gov/beautify/MCCCD. All participants under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardian sign for them.

Beautify Fresno will provide event t-shirts*, paper pickers, gloves, and trash bags, along with pre-packaged snacks and bottled water.

* The first 1,500 participants to sign up will receive a free Beautify Fresno MCCCD24 event t-shirt (S, M, L, XL, XXL) and a ticket to “Beautify Fresno Night” with the Fresno Grizzlies on Saturday, August 3.

The event is open to participants of all ages and will take place between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. All participants are invited to an outdoor celebration rally in the Manchester Center parking lot, on the corner of Blackstone and Shields, from 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. and will include free food trucks, music and activities for children.
