Cycling: Criterium Race Support

As a Cycling Criterium Race Support volunteer, you'll be essential to the smooth operation and safety of our race. Please arrive 15 minutes before your shift. 

 

You will be trained on site and asked to fill various responsibilities. These include:

 

Course Marshals:

• Monitor the Course: Ensure the racecourse remains clear and safe for participants, directing them and spectators as needed.
• Provide Assistance: Help athletes with any questions or issues that arise during the race.

Corner and Traffic Help:

• Manage Intersections: Direct traffic and keep intersections safe and clear for racers.
• Guide Spectators: Ensure spectators remain in designated areas for their safety and the safety of the racers.

Start/Finish Line Help:

• Assist with Lineups: Help organize and line up racers at the start line.
• Distribute Materials: Hand out race numbers and other essential materials to participants.
• Monitor Finish Line: Watch for and record finishers, ensuring an orderly and accurate finish process.
