Cycling: Time Trial Race Support

As a Cycling: Time Trial Race Support volunteer, you'll help create a memorable experience for our athletes.  Please arrive 15 minutes before your shift for training. 

 

Start Line Organizers

Meeting Location: Sand Dunes Picnic Grounds, Snow Canyon State Park

• Welcome Athletes: Greet participants as they arrive, providing a warm and friendly atmosphere.
• Distribute Packets/Numbers: Hand out race packets and numbers to athletes, ensuring they have all necessary materials.
• Organize Time Sheets: Prepare and manage time sheets to ensure accurate race timing.
• Set Up Refreshments: Arrange water and snacks at the starting area to keep participants hydrated and energized.
• Line Up Racers: Assist in organizing racers at the start line, ensuring a smooth and orderly beginning to the race.
• Hold Bikes at Start: Help hold bikes for athletes at the start line to ensure they are ready to go.

Course Marshals:

• Monitor the Course: Ensure the racecourse remains clear and safe for participants, directing them and spectators as needed.
• Provide Assistance: Help athletes with any questions or issues that arise during the race.
