Position Description: Catholic Charities provides resettlement and case management services to individuals and families who seek to make Oregon their new home. Our resettlement work dates back to the 1940s, when we began assisting individuals and families who had to leave their homelands due to the fear of persecution. Since the 1980s we have resettled more than 10,500 individuals.
As a member of the Apartment Set-Up Team, you will help to prepare apartments for refugees! You will be part of a team effort to make sure refugees new homes are move-in read. Helping with an apartment set-up is a great way to meaningfully support recently arrived refugees.

Supervisor: Once you have been fully onboarded, you will be added to our Apartment Setup Team email list. The Volunteer Coordinator will reach out to you when we have apartment setups scheduled (usually 2-3 days in advance) and will provide details about the event (time, place, etc.). At the event you will be supervised by either the Refugee Services Volunteer Coordinator and/or the client’s case manager. Please note that apartment setups happen during weekdays between 9am-5pm.
